Mark Crall’s Top Ten Vista List
Shades of Letterman, Mark has Posted his Top Ten List of Vista Facts you should know, let me add number eleven.
11. Some clients fighting with Vista over the last year or so (early adopters) are getting fed up and asking to go back to XP, sometimes the truth hurts, but it is the client’s needs that have to be put in front of our always wanting them to have the latest and greatest new thing. Very soon you will not be able to buy XP so you may want to poll your clients about upcoming purchases (never hurts to ask for business)and what OS they want on them, XP or Vista. Next month when they call you to order a half dozen new pc’s with XP on them, MS won’t be the bad guy, you will when you say that XP isn’t available any longer. They will be saying WHY DIDN’T YOU WARN ME, that is after all part of being a TRUSTED Advisor.

You’ll be able to order systems with XP-Pro on them after June 30. At least you can from Dell. They’re actually selling them with Vista Business or Ultimate with a pre-installed “downgrade” to XP-Pro. Two thumbs up for Dell! :-)
