Eric has done a wonderful job of explaining what you get with the different versions of Microsof Office, fpp, oem and ol. Take a look HERE. Finally someplace to point confused clients as well as to get the cobwebs clearded from our own heads. Thankx Eric!

It looks like Microsoft is trying the Apple approach of humor marketing.

This looks like it will be a lot of fun, the first blush can be seen at

SBS 2003 and Public Certs

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

Well I was getting ready for a painful day trying to get an Enom SBS Cert installed on my SBS Server, so I googled isa 2004 ssl certificate and low and behold I saw an article from my favorite ISA gal Amy Babinchak  so I clicked to see what she had to say. Well she pointed to a page by Jeff at Advanced Business Computing Solutions which is a very well done, easy to follow article on installing a godaddy cert on SBS. It also works for the SBS cert offered by Enom. So now instead of spending the day figuring this out and writing it up, I can go implement it for my clients and rack up a few billable hours. What a nice surprise for a Sunday :>)

Can someone check the climate in Hades

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

It occurred to me that is must have really frozen over this time. Two of my favorite MS centric authors have spilled their koolaid and crossed over to the dark side. The SBS Diva and Mr Geniality himself the Vladster have both gone Mac. Could Vista really be that annoying, that it is starting to drive folks away? Or maybe it is just a seven year itch thing, and they are looking for a little excitment, only time will tell. I would say I will never jump ship, but truth be told, a long long time ago I was know to play with an Apple 2c, so I guess I can’t say never :>)
